Route 1A - 10.8 miles from N. Kingstown Town Hall to Sprague Park in Narragansett.
Route 2 - 7.2 miles from Rte. 102 in N. Kingstown to Rte. 138 in S. Kingstown.
Route 3 - 10.5 miles from Division Road in W. Greenwich to Bakers Pine Road in Hopkinton.
Route 12 - 5.7 miles from Rte. 5 in Cranston to Scituate Reservoir.
Route 14 - 1.5 miles from Pippin Orchard Road in Cranston to Rte. 116 in Scituate.
Route 91 - 2.5 miles from Rte. 112 to Bradford Fishing Area.
Route 102 - 10 miles from Rte. 14/102 in Foster to Breakheart Hill Road in W. Greenwich.
Route 117 - 7 miles from Rte. 102 to Coventry Greenway.
Route 120 - 3 miles from Mendon Road to the Mass. State Line
Pippin Orchard Road (western Cranston) - 1.7 miles from Rte. 14 in Cranston to Rt. 12 in Cranston.
Allens Avenue/Narragansett Boulevard - 2.7 miles each direction from Cranston to Providence.
Grade: Varies greatly throughout the state, but Rhode Island is not as flat as it looks. Expect numerous hills. Routes in northern and western sections have very hilly sections. Even Rte. 1A on coast has some big hills.
Trail condition: Good to Excellent. Most bike lanes are wide and riding surface is good.
Special characteristics: These routes provide long-distance cycling from community to community and are marked on the pavement and with signs. Many crossings marked to alert motorists. Some near existing and planned off-road bike paths.
Natural attractions nearby: Numerous. There are many ponds, rivers, wildlife areas and ocean and bay areas. Many routes pass through rural, wooded areas.
Historical attractions nearby: Many historic homes, graveyards, museums, etc.
Services nearby: Shops, restaurants, grocery stores, schools, colleges, libraries, bike shops, etc.
