Oakland Beach Bike Path

Length: About 1/2 mile of off-road route in two sections near Oakland Beach.
Grade: Flat
Trail condition: Good: Because it runs along the beach, watch out for loose sand.
Special characteristics: A very short path, really best for a walk after indulging on clam cakes at Iggy's or a sit-down dinner at Cherrystones. The view here is spectacular. A large playground is located just off the path
Natural attractions nearby: Waterfront observation, great sunsets, swimming, fishing access.
Historical attractions nearby: A foundation is working to restore a carousel to the area.
Services nearby: A collection of restaurants and bars right along the beach.
Directions: From Route 95, take Exit 10 to Rte. 117 east. After village of Apponaug, travel 3.3 miles to intersection with Oakland Beach Avenue. Take left and follow to end.
